Day 1
We start with a little bit of motorway riding to get us south and onto the good motorcycling roads. Heading to wards the Eiffel mountian range & The Biker Ranch for a spot of lunch. Its then great motorcycling roads until we reach Luxembourg.
Day 2
A ride out day to see some sites. We first head toward Bastonge to the War Museum and learn a little about the American forces in that area, then a short ride for lunch. Following lunch it a ride to the American Military Cemetery and the burial site of General Patton. Next its on to the Museum of Military Vehicles & Weapons before a country ride back to the Hotel/B&B.
Day 3
After breakfast we move on to France taking in the fantastic Ardennes Forest.
Day 4
We ride to the Museum of 1916 The battle of the Somme. 2nd stop is The caves of Naours (The Underground City). 3rd stop Thiepval (The Path Of Peace). And finally the Australian 2nd division Memorial.
Day 5
We continue through France and jump over into Belgium and take a visit to the Flanders Museum.
Day 6
Rest Day. Take in the sites of Ieper or we can arrange a little ride for lunch.
Day 7
A great day seeing the War sites and attending the 8pm trubute to the Allied forces. Sites we visit: 1) Tyne Cott (The largest Allied war grave site) 2) Dodengang The Belgium Tranches of Death. 3) Kemmel’s Command Bunker. 4) Hill 62 Musuem and Canadian Troups Cemetery.
Day 8
Time to head back to the ferry. If we make good time its possible we may visit Fort Breendonk wich served as a WW2 Nazi prison camp.
Can I get a different crossing on this trip?
Yes, you can get whichever crossing suits you best. We will refund the difference on the crossing once your trip is booked. If crossing at a different place you should meet us at the first Hotel/b&b.
Are there any rest days on this tour will I be too tired?
Yes we have rest days on most of our tours, and even on our ride days we take 30 minutes coffee stop in the morning, 1 hours stop for lunch and a further 30 minutes coffee stop in the afternoon.
What will the weather be like on this tour?
We can never fully predict the weather, Some trips its been really hot, other have been wet, so we always suggest to take a good set of waterproof clothing with you no matter what.
