At Eurobiketours, we believe that a great motorcycle tour should be about enjoying the riding, the scenery and the experience — not worrying about the logistics. From the moment you arrive at our offices to the moment you return home, your tour is carefully organised and supported by our experienced tour escorts.
On the day of departure, everyone will meet at the Eurobiketours office before heading to the ferry terminal for the overnight crossing to Rotterdam.
We will begin with a safety briefing and tour induction, giving you the opportunity to meet your fellow riders and tour escorts. We will go through the important information for the journey ahead and answer any questions you may have before setting off.
Before heading to the ferry, we will make a final stop for fuel so that everyone begins the tour with a full tank. We will then travel together to the ferry terminal, where your Eurobiketours tour escorts will assist you with the loading process and ensure everyone is ready to board.
Once onboard, you will be given an electronic key for your cabin and are free to settle in and enjoy the crossing.
For your evening meal, you are free to choose from the ferry’s three eating areas, allowing you to decide where and what you would like to eat before getting some rest ahead of the first day on the road.
The following morning, you will disembark from the ferry alongside your tour escorts and make your way through customs control.
Once everyone has cleared customs, the tour escorts will gather the group together and the adventure truly begins as we set off on the first leg of your motorcycle tour.
Because everyone leaves with a full tank of fuel, we will normally plan fuel stops at approximately every 100 miles. This helps keep the group together and ensures nobody needs to worry about finding fuel or wondering when the next stop will be.
We believe that a motorcycle tour should be enjoyable, not a race. Our daily riding schedule includes regular breaks, giving everyone time to relax, recharge and enjoy the journey.
Our typical daily schedule includes:
Around 10:30am – Coffee Break
Approximately 30 minutes to stretch your legs, enjoy a coffee and chat with the group.
Around 12:30pm – Lunch Break
Approximately one hour to enjoy lunch and take a proper break from the motorcycle.
Around 3:00pm – Afternoon Break
Approximately 30 minutes for another opportunity to relax before completing the final part of the day’s ride.
Naturally, timings can occasionally change depending on the route, weather, traffic and other circumstances, but regular breaks are always an important part of how we organise our tours.
Upon arriving at the hotels, your tour escort will assist with reception to ensure a smooth and seamless check-in experience. Where possible, we generally arrange an evening meal at the hotel restaurant, provided it offers a good variety of food. We normally aim to book the group meal for around 7:00pm.
Please note that evening meals and drinks are not included in the tour package price. You are simply responsible for the cost of your own food and drinks on the evening.
If the hotel restaurant is not suitable or does not offer enough variety, we will arrange a meal at a suitable local restaurant instead, unless other options are not available.
After a full day in the saddle, we find that the last thing most riders want to do is spend their evening searching for somewhere to eat. By organising this in advance, everyone can simply relax, freshen up and enjoy their evening.
Of course, you are never obliged to eat with the group and are completely free to make your own arrangements if you prefer.
However, we find that sharing an evening meal is one of the things that really brings the group together. It gives everyone the opportunity to talk about the day’s riding, share experiences and get to know their fellow riders — often creating friendships and memories that become just as important as the roads themselves.
Approximately 30 days before your tour begins, every rider will receive a comprehensive Eurobiketours Tour Pack.
This has been designed to give you as much information as possible before you set off, helping you prepare for your adventure and ensuring you have everything you need to ride safely and legally in Europe.
Your Tour Pack will include:
We strongly recommend taking the time to read through your Tour Pack before departure, as it contains a great deal of useful information to help you prepare for your tour.
Before departure, every rider will also receive an email containing all of the route files for the tour.
These include both GPX and ITN files, allowing you to add the routes for each day directly to your preferred compatible navigation system.
We know that not everyone is confident when it comes to loading route files onto navigation equipment, so please don’t worry if you are unsure how to do this. In your tour pack will be instructions for your navigation device.
Or simply get in touch with us and we will be happy to help.
We also have a system set up in our conference room at the Eurobiketours office, allowing us to assist riders with loading their route files onto their navigation systems before departure if required.
Our aim is to make sure that everyone feels prepared and confident before the tour begins.
While daily route files are provided for your navigation system, our tours offer a bit more flexibility than a standard group ride. You are free to ride at your own pace, pair up with a small group, or stick with the main tour escort. Whichever option you choose, you’ll have all the route information and support you need to navigate comfortably if you ever feel the group’s pace is too fast or too slow.
Your tour escorts are there to assist with navigation, fuel stops, diversions and the day-to-day organisation of the tour.
From the moment we leave Hull to the moment we return, we want you to be able to concentrate on what really matters:
Enjoying your motorcycle, experiencing some incredible roads and scenery, and sharing an unforgettable adventure with like-minded riders.
